Goodbye Mary, I will always remember you for your courage during your battle with cancer. You took every medicine they offered and endured the side effects without complaint. If they gave out medals to soldiers that fought in the war against cancer, you deserve the medal of honor for your bravery and tenacity. You will be missed by many.

I have hundreds of great memories of Mary. Just wanted to mention one which showcases Mary's generous spirit. Mary and my mom, Kathleen, drove up to Los Angeles from Orange County, maybe a couple of times a month, for several months of my son Kieran's 1st year. They drove up to babysit him so that I could go to work. That was a long drive. Mary would teach Kieran to count in Cantonese. Mary also babysat Kieran on many occasions after we moved to Orange County (about 4 years ago), again, so I could go to work. Kieran still likes cooking shows because he and Mary used to watch them together. Kieran really misses her.
